Service Technician

£30k - £35k depending on experience

Permanent/Full Time

Working Hours: Monday to Friday (9am – 6pm) / 1 in 2 Saturdays (9am – 1pm)

Our client, located in the Chelmsford area of Essex, is on the lookout for an experienced Service Technician to join their busy workshop.

Duties & Responsibilities of a Service Technician:

• Performing routine vehicle servicing tasks, including oil changes, filter replacements, and fluid checks.


• Carrying out vehicle inspections to identify any mechanical or electrical issues.


• Repairing or replacing worn or damaged parts.


• Performing any scheduled maintenance tasks according to the manufacturer’s guidelines.


• Maintaining thorough and up-to-date product knowledge.


• Ensuring that all work meets quality standards.


• Being part of a team and bringing a high attention to detail.


• Providing your technical expert opinion to customers.

Your Background & Skill:

• Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in mechanics OR equivalent experience.


• Proven experience working as a Vehicle/Service Technician within a main dealer or independent.


• Strong communication skills.


• Full UK Driving Licence.


• Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines.
