Vehicle Technician & Mot Tester

Join our Client's dynamic team at a prestigious Car Dealership located in York! We're on the lookout for a talented Vehicle Technician and MOT Tester to become an integral part of thier esteemed establishment.

Position: Vehicle Technician & MOT Tester
Location: York, UK
Hours: 40 hours per week (including a 1-hour lunch break)
Optional Saturdays: Paid at time and a half
Salary: �38,000 to �42,000 per annum

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct thorough vehicle inspections to identify any mechanical, electrical, or technical issues.
• Perform repairs and maintenance tasks efficiently while maintaining high-quality standards.
• Diagnose complex vehicle problems using diagnostic equipment and technical knowledge.
• Ensure all work is completed in accordance with manufacturer guidelines and regulatory requirements.
• Keep accurate records of all work carried out, including parts used and time spent on each job.
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace to promote efficiency and safety.
• Provide exceptional customer service by addressing client inquiries and explaining repair procedures.
• Assist colleagues and share knowledge to promote a collaborative team environment.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Vehicle Technician and MOT Tester, preferably in a dealership setting.
• Relevant qualifications such as NVQ Level 3 in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair or equivalent.
• MOT Tester Certification (Class 4 and 7) with a valid accreditation.
• Strong diagnostic skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex vehicle issues.
• Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship.
• Good communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical individuals.
• Flexibility to work occasional Saturdays and willingness to undergo further training as required.
• Valid UK driving license.
