US Commercial Finance Analyst

This is an exciting opportunity to work for a fast paced global media company and a highly agile Finance function. This Bath based role will closely support the US Commercial Sales Team.What you'll be doing...The role reports to the US Commercial Finance manager, within the Commercial Finance Team.The successful candidate will be responsible for key management account activities as well as additional commercial analysis as required, such as supporting the weekly trading reports and calculating sales commissions.You will become a trusted resource supporting our understanding of US advertising sales performanceKey Responsibilities include:Being the US Sales team 'go to' person for financial supportAttend weekly sales trading meetings and support variance analysis and commentarySupport with the production of weekly sales reporting and commission calculationsSupport on production of annual budgets and rolling forecastsMonth end management accounts activities including journal posting, transaction reviews and preparation of balance sheet reconciliationsParticular support at month end around campaign specific cost of sales- assisting with surfacing the true cost of our in month businessAd hoc analysis as requiredExperience that'll put you ahead of the curve...Pursuing or interest in pursuing an accounting qualification ACA/CIMA/ACCAManagement accounting experience would be preferentialAbility to integrate data to ensure accuracy and provide insight to business partnersStrong communication and people skills to build strong relationships across the businessBright, energetic and self-motivated with a proactive approach to work, and a focus on executionDesire to understand and challenge the 'why' when it comes to producing numbersTeam player who is able to communicate and collaborate across Finance, business and operational teamsEffective stakeholder and time management essentialPossess a positive attitude to change, and a drive to challenge and improve processesAn enquiring mind, and the ability to absorb and apply new information quicklyExperience in using Excel or equivalent essentialWhat's in it for you...We have a number of awesome perks available to our staff.
