Lead Unreal DeveloperNewcastle - HybridSalary £80,000 - £100,000 dep on experienceThe RoleIm looking for an experienced and team oriented Lead Unreal Developer or Senior Unreal Developer whos looking for their next challenge, to join a outstanding team.Your Responsibilities:Act as the primary point of contact for customers during the integration process, understanding their IT architecture and requirements.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth integration and successful customer outcomes.Build strong relationships with customers to ensure satisfaction and successful integration outcomes.Design and develop APIs to facilitate seamless communication between HEAT and customers simulator products.Create comprehensive technical documentation for integration processes, including API specifications, deployment guides, and troubleshooting procedures.Provide training and support to internal teams and customers on integration-related topics.Proactively identify opportunities for product & process improvement.Track progress, identify potential risks, and implement mitigation strategies to ensure on-time and within-budget delivery.Coordinate User Acceptance Testing with the Customer prior to go-live.Oversee technical support to customers following go-live.Qualifications:Bachelor/Masters in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.Proven experience in technical integration projects, preferably in a SaaS or software development environment.Strong customer facing experience of similar integration project deliveryProficiency in some of the related technologies such as REACT, C++, and Azure cloud services.Experience of game or simulation engines such as Unreal, Unity, VBS etc.Strong understanding of API design principles and RESTful architecture.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage with technical and non-technical stakeholders.Ability to prioritize tasks, manage deadlines, and handle multiple projects simultaneously.Experience in the defence, simulation or gaming industry is a bonus.Project management certification, particularly in agile / scrum is also a bonus.What we offer:We want above average talent and intend to offer above average benefits:Annual market-based benchmarking to ensure our remuneration is above average4% pension contribution25 days paid annual leave + paid public holidays.Employee assistance programme that includes private medical insurance + mental health supportFlextime & Hybrid working focus on getting the job donePaid sick leave.Hardware packageMission command, you will have freedom to decide how to achieve your mission, and the responsibility to deliverBe part of a small, dynamic team that has high talent densityIf you are interested in this role or would like to discuss this role in more detail, click apply and we will be in touch if your application is suitable.
