Job Responsibilities:
To build expertise within the appearance measurement and modelling area.
To lead and drive OI projects to utilise external expertise in the appearance field for business needs.
To interpret the outcomes and make recommendations for supporting technology development.
To translate business need into technical hypotheses and integrate them into the activities of the research team.
To design and execute experimental plans to agreed timings, building and leveraging both external, as well as internal networks, where appropriate
To design and conduct experiments for building appearance measurement capabilities.
To execute in vitro studies and to support in vivo studies for developing and validating methodologies.
Keep accurate records of experimental data and analysis of results.
Deliver verbal and written communication of results, key insights, developments and observations to project teams.
Job Requirements:
Highly numerate, able to use good experimental design and extract insight from a wide range of sources.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills and an ability to convey scientific and project findings to audiences with varied backgrounds.
Qualification & Experience:
BSc, MSc or PhD in a relevant science area.
Relevant experience and laboratory skills in measurement, modelling and data analysis (e.g. Data fellowship).
Experience in creation and/or adoption of novel methodologies to generate insights.
Skills in appearance, programming, image processing/analysis and modelling are desirable.
