This has opened up a new opportunity within the P&C Underwriting team for an ambitious professional who is excited by the prospect of joining a fast growing, innovative organization.We offer a cross class package solution including Public & Products Liability, Employers Liability, Property, E&O, Cyber, D&O and Legal Expenses With over a decade of experience providing insurance to traditional and emerging industries, CFC’s P&C department are the go-to-market for property, environmental, and general liability risksAbout the roleAs an Underwriter you’ll develop and underwrite profitable business, working closely with the Head of Property & Casualty and your underwriting colleagues in a variety of areas, including new business development, building broker relationships and responding to P&C queries from other product line underwriters.
Respond to new business enquiries and renewal submissions from brokers in a timely and professional manner, delivering a first class service to produce quotations within agreed SLAs and authority parameters;
Prepare and deliver internal and external presentations on CFC products, key trends and emerging exposures;
Contribute effectively to team performance standards;
Marketing P&C team capabilities through existing contacts and new relationships including attending ad-hoc business trips in the UK and Internationally as required.
Assist with the production of reports and statistics to support the monitoring of team performance
About youWe’re looking for driven, self-starters with a strong work ethic. You will have a strong knowledge of the Property and/ or Casualty market and have been working within the insurance industry for at least 4-5 years - underwriting or broking commercial risks in this product line.
You will be expected to work at a high pace and intensity that underpins the successful framework of the CFC business and develop relationships with internal and external stakeholders to support our ambitious growth plans.
Articulate and influential - you’re naturally comfortable presenting to small and large groups;
Strong work ethic with an ability to operate effectively under pressure
Progression in professional examinations demonstrated (e.g. CII/ACII)
