With continued acquisitions and growth specifically throughout the UK, our client now supplies mission critical communications and workforce management solutions for the control rooms of more than 100 emergency services and transportation customers across the UK. More than two-thirds of the UK’s police forces utilize their solutions, as do major transportation operations, such as the London Underground and International Airports.
The Role:
Responsible for identifying opportunities and selling state-of-the-art integrated communication console technology for mission-critical applications in the public safety, transportation, Airport, Airline and utilities arenas throughout the UK.
This position is responsible for achieving sales targets and growing mission-critical solution revenue across the Public Safety, Energy & Utilities, Telecom/Manufacturing, Transportation & Logistics and other mission critical related industries, while building strong client relationships yielding commercial decisions in favour of client versus our competition.
The ideal candidate will possess broad technical understanding of wireless SW/HW infrastructures.
Ideally, you will have come from either a Radio/Mission-critical comms or unified communications or major Telephony systems/VOIP background
An ability to move opportunities from “concept to commercial agreement.”
The candidate must have strong sales leadership qualities and be ready to work collaboratively and openly with global colleagues & teams.
The candidate should possess strong initiative and instincts for complex buying/specifications development situations and be resourceful and continuous in their client communication strategies.
A key attribute is the ability to obtain clear commitments from customers; while possessing a “roll up their sleeves” and a “do what it takes to win” mentality to turn around proposals and offers in simple and clear in well managed formats and timelines.
Also, must possess the ability to communicate proposals and opportunities up the chain of Executive management for support and alignment.
The candidate must also have a very positive overall outlook and with a driving high-achievement orientation. He/she must have a bias towards action and require minimal supervision.
We are looking for a senior sales leader with a customer first attitude and mentality.
Must be able to identify large versus small sales opportunities and create and implement achievable win plans to build client revenue in the UK.
Performs all job function in accordance with established company processes and procedures and in compliance with safety policies
Responsibilities:
In collaboration with our client’s senior leadership and various solutions, financial, delivery and managerial colleagues; the candidate must identify, develop and close strategic business opportunities to achieve significant sales objectives and market growth goals while always maintaining effective cost control practices and prudency.
Candidate will achieve sales goals by collaborating with all internal teams, building pipelines within designated accounts in addition to prospecting and finding new opportunities.
With broad-based critical communications knowledge, the candidate will develop and implement sales strategies to build new business pipe while maintaining and improving the yield of relationships within existing customers.
Deliver sales quota achievement aligned with forecasts, while also providing recommendations to drive the business forward
When needed design channel activities; maintain and nurture strategic partnerships and execute joint selling initiatives
Perform all administrative tasks in timely and professional manner
Work across our client’s product groups to identify, recommend and implement improvements to improve client satisfaction levels and support of the overall relationship client and management processes with clients
Willingness to travel (extensively at times)
Perform other sales or related duties as the needs arise
Experience Required:
5+ years of experience in sales/business development roles
Strong industry vertical expertise and knowledge.
Must come from one of the following backgrounds: Mission critical communications systems or Main Control Room Solutions or unified communications or major Telephony systems/VOIP
You must have a recent track record of selling system solutions from the aforementioned sectors into Public Safety, Energy & Utilities, Telecom/Manufacturing, Transportation & Logistics.
Travelling extensively throughout UK is required.
In-depth experience succeeding with Enterprise Clients in relevant industries
Some experience with industry standards bodies/organizations would be plus.
In depth abilities to build, develop and execute partner relationships and strategies
High aptitude of mentoring for performance and leading by example
Strong technical skills, including CRM software utilization, and knowledge of MS products
