UK Financial Controller - (Part-time 20-hours)

The Client:

Our client is a leading Manufacturing company based in Cramlington.

You will enjoy a diverse role with potential for future growth and progression. This position will make a real contribution to the success of the company as it continues to grow organically and through acquisitions.

The Opportunity:

For this UK Financial Controller position, you will support the General Manager by providing a high-quality financial service to the various departments.

This position is part-time for 24 hours (pro rata). This can be spread over 4 days and one day off, but this is open to discussion.

Some of the key responsibilities for this successful person would be but no limited to:

• Providing financial support to 3 Group businesses.


• Providing financial support, investigating and advising on highly complex and sensitive financial issues.


• To manage the relationships with external service providers e.g. bank, auditors, finance company.


• To prepare financial reports for Management/Board, including Profit & Loss.


• Ensures statutory accounts and returns are accurate and meet agreed timescales and legal requirements, interpreting these where necessary.


• VAT Returns


• Year End File

The Candidate:

The successful UK Financial Controller will be/have:

• Experience working in a finance background 


• Experience working in a manufacturing company or related industry 


• Experience of VAT, import/export or PVA (postponed VAT account) is a distinct advantage


• Skilled with Microsoft Excel


• Planning and organisational skills for financial reporting requirements


• Being a great communicator would be fab
