As the Senior Design Engineer, you will play a crucial role in the development and design of avionic systems for the Typhoon aircraft. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Systems Engineer looking to make a significant impact in the aerospace and defence industry.

What you'll be doing:
  • Analysing new and emerging customer requirements and providing a Safety and Avionic scoping together with a feasibility analysis for all 7 main sub-systems teams
  • Coordinating a review of the provided requirements to identify the initial customer needs
  • Examining customer requirements and assessing the scenarios to identify the "Problem Space," documenting the findings in the Avionic System Scope and Feasibility Analysis Report (ASFAR)
  • Being responsible for the overall system level functional Avionic design and partitioning across the 7 main sub-systems and 100+ "black boxes"
  • Leading avionics safety analysis, qualification, and certification of the integrated system
  • Ensuring the delivery of the final product to customer(s)
Your skills and experiences:


Essential:

  • A strong Systems Engineering background throughout the whole system development lifecycle, ideally from the Aerospace or Defence sectors
  • Strong proven experience in requirements capture and requirements management
  • Understanding the relationships between engineering requirements and their impact on the platform and equipment
  • An excellent communicator at all levels, both written and verbal
  • Proven ability to write formal project documentation


Desirable:

  • Degree in a STEM subject
