Job Title: Construction Tutor

Position Overview: We are looking for a passionate Construction Tutor with a background in the construction industry to inspire and educate KS4 students within our PRU setting. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality construction lessons, providing practical skills training, and supporting student's academic and personal development.

Key Responsibilities:

• Planning and delivering construction lessons to KS4 students, including practical workshops and theoretical sessions.
• Providing hands-on instruction and guidance in various construction techniques and trades.
• Creating engaging and interactive learning activities to enhance student understanding and retention.
• Assessing student progress and providing constructive feedback to support their learning journey.
• Building positive relationships with students, colleagues, and parents/carers to foster a supportive learning environment.
• Incorporating relevant health and safety practices into construction lessons to ensure student well-being.
• Collaborating with the wider team to develop and implement effective teaching strategies and resources.

Requirements:

• A background in the construction industry with relevant qualifications and experience.
• Experience working with young people, preferably in an educational or youth work setting.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and motivate students.
• A dynamic and outgoing personality with a genuine passion for teaching and mentoring.
• Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet the diverse needs of students.
• Commitment to promoting inclusively and diversity within the classroom.
• Resilience and patience when working with students facing challenges or barriers to learning.
