Turner

The company are an established company who manufacture plant tools. They have an opportunity for a Manual Lathe Operator/ Turner to join the business. They pay an attractive salary of up to �19 per hour DOE along with other benefits.

Job Summary:

You will be part of a team of people who are specialist Line Borers, Welders, Mechanics, and machinists who are creating some of the most impressive pieces of equipment on the market. The Turner will be primarily responsible for setting and operating Manual Lathes.

Responsibilities of the Turner:

• Responsible for setting and operating Lathes, performs machine set ups to obtain close tolerances, fitting and alignment of machined parts
• Examines machine to become familiar with tooling set up, changes tool offsets to keep dimensions within specified drawing tolerances
• Performs in-process procedures
• Completes and maintains all necessary records of time, part counts, last piece inspections and others for each job.
• Informs the team of any machinery or material problems
• Maintains work area in a safe, clean and orderly manner

Requirements of the Turner

• Experienced CNC Machinist/Turner
• Using measuring equipment and interpret drawings
• Experienced in setting and operating Lathes
• Apprentice trained
• Must work well in a team environment
• Good communication skills
• Good problem solving skills
