TPF Recruitment, the leading provider of accountancy practice professionals is      currently supporting one of their clients located in Eastbourne with the recruitment of a Trust & Estates Manager/Senior Manager.

Join our client's esteemed TESS team in Eastbourne. TPF Recruitment is working on behalf of our client, seeking a diligent Trust & Estate Manager to contribute to our dynamic Trust & Estate Support Services. This role offers an exciting opportunity to engage in trust administration, tax compliance, and various private client endeavours. The level of responsibility will be tailored to your experience, with training provided where needed.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Trusts:

Prepare trust accounts, tax returns, and IHT forms for trusts under our trusteeship and for trust clients.

Handle trust administration, including TRS and CRS, for trusts we oversee and those where we serve as primary contact.

Review and provide feedback on trust tax returns and accounts prepared by others.
Estates:

Assist with estate administration, reporting to the TESS Partner when necessary.

Prepare accounts, tax returns, IHT forms, and legal statements for estates.

Liaise with executors, beneficiaries, and third parties during estate administration.
Private Client Tax:

Prepare personal Self-Assessment Tax Returns.

Review and provide feedback on personal tax returns prepared by others.

Support the TESS Partner with technical tax research and drafting tax advice.
Work for Other Professionals:

Prepare accounts and tax returns for solicitors and other professionals.

Offer guidance on TRS obligations and assist with tax form preparation.
Other:

Address internal technical queries for Partners and Managers regarding estates and trusts.

Assist in training junior team members.

Maintain and update workflow for your portfolio.

Conduct monthly WIP reviews to ensure timely billing.

Keep up-to-date with CPD and technical knowledge.

Requirements

Qualifications such as ACCA, CTA, or STEP are required.
Experience: Previous experience in trust administration, estate planning, or related fields, preferably within a professional services firm.

Technical Skills: Proficiency in trust and estate accounting principles, tax compliance, and relevant regulations.Familiarity with trust and estate administration software.

Strong understanding of inheritance tax laws and regulations.

Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively liaise with clients, beneficiaries, legal professionals, and internal stakeholders.

Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to review complex financial documents, tax returns, and legal documents.

Attention to Detail: Meticulous attention to detail to ensure accuracy in preparing trust accounts, tax returns, and legal statements.

Team Player: Ability to collaborate effectively within a team environment, including mentoring junior staff members and coordinating with other departments.

Benefits

The client we are representing is offering a competitive remuneration package including:
Salary: £50,000-£65,000 (Subject to applicants qualification and level of experience)
Holiday: 25 days + Bank
