What you will be doing...
Supervising a small team, managing workload, 121s
Completion of Balance Sheet Reconciliations, owning,
monitoring
and addressing reconciling items,
identifying
risks and opportunities.
Maintain company ledgers and daily cash financial transactions
KPI reporting
Month end and year end procedures
Production of monthly balance sheet reports for business stakeholders, lead on calls to support stakeholder understanding.
Provide regular and
adhoc
management reporting and analysis for decision making.
Provide support and accounting guidance to business stakeholders,
Responding to Audit requests during the year end process.
Carry out continuous reviews of work practices to ensure efficient and
cost effective
operations, suggesting improvements where
required
.
Create insight and trend reports that highlight to the business any risks or opportunities
Identify
financial control issues arising out of new initiatives in the business, and
take action
or escalate them
in order to
maintain
adequate controls
Provide financial evaluation,
analysis
and advice on key business areas
Challenging and engaging the business; sharing findings of analysis with effective relationship building
Safeguard your own health and safety and that of your colleagues,
customers
and visitors. Ensuring quality,
compliance
and Health & Safety standards across the Finance Team.
Ensuring
an appropriate internal
control framework is in place to safeguard the business and ensure compliance with financial standards and regulations.
What
we’re
looking for...
Part Qualified Accountant with experience in a similar role
Experience of multi-site or similar sized business
Sun Systems knowledge preferred
Experience of Microsoft Packages
Confident in liaising with team members and stakeholders
Thorough understanding of double entry
book keeping
Previous
experience producing monthly reports
Strong reconciliation skills
Conscientious and detail oriented
Motivate with a pro-active mindset
Team player, organised and able to prioritise workloads
