Position Overview: The Head Teacher is looking for an enthusiastic Travel and Tourism Teacher to join his dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging and informative lessons to students in Key Stages 4 and 5. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the travel and tourism industry and a passion for inspiring young minds.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver high-quality lessons that inspire and engage students.
  • Develop and implement schemes of work and lesson plans in line with the national curriculum.
  • Assess and evaluate student progress, providing constructive feedback and support where necessary.
  • Create a positive and inclusive learning environment where all students feel valued and supported.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and contribute to the overall success of the department.
  • Organise and participate in extracurricular activities and educational trips related to travel and tourism.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
  • A degree in Travel and Tourism or a related field.
  • Experience teaching Travel and Tourism at Key Stages 4 and 5.
  • Strong knowledge of the national curriculum and assessment requirements.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to inspire and motivate students from diverse backgrounds.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development.
