Transport Team Leader

We are looking for a motivated and competent Transport Team Leader to join our fabulous team in Nottingham. We are a leading laundry company providing professional linen and workwear rental to the hospitality (hotels, holiday parks and serviced apartments) and manufacturing industries throughout the UK.Up to £36,592.50 per annum depending upon experienceShift Pattern or Hours of Work:You will be working on a 4 on, 4 off rota which will include weekends, totalling 44 hours per week.What will I be doing?Our transport function is pivotal to ensure that our laundry can function; the overall purpose is to ensure that orders are dispatched and arrive on time, and that used items are collected from our customers. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the Transport Manager in managing the on-site transport team. Day-to-day the role involves:Conducting regular performance reviews, as well as dealing with day- to- day operations, including liaising with our customers either face to face or via phone/emailCarrying out daily driver de-briefs and ensuring any non-compliance is reportedManaging driver risk profile and identifying and supporting driver training needsAccident investigation and managementDriver CPC trainingLicence checking and ensuring driver and vehicles are legally compliantSupporting the TM to ensure KPI’s and budgetary targets are metEnsuring driver and vehicle compliance in terms of WTD regulations, plannedmaintenance and inspections.What do I need to apply for the role?We are looking for candidates who have real ambition and are eager to progress as our plans for growth continue.To be considered for the role, you will need previous experience of leading a fast-paced transport team, including the ability to engage and drive your team, routing and scheduling of both vehicles and drivers and ensuring driver training and assessment is carried out. You will definitely need to have team leadership experience including the ability to keep the team motivated. You will have the confidence to escalate any issues that may arise, will be customer focused, have the ability to remain calm under pressure and flexible to meet the demands of the role.It is essential that you hold a valid Class 2 (CAT C) licence, up to date driver CPC and digi tacho card– if you have a CPC Manager qualification this would be an advantage!
