*Milk Transport Supervisor**4on 4off, Nights**Haverfordwest*At Gregory Distribution Ltd, we are currently seeking a *Milk Transport Supervisor *to work at our milk collection depot in Haverfordwest.*The position of Milk Transport Supervisor involves:** Route planning of all vehicles. To ensure that all vehicles and drivers under your supervision are routed effectively to maximise their utilisation at all times, maintaining service levels to customer and GDL requirements, whilst keeping control over associated costs.* To ensure that tankers operated from presented in a clean and tidy condition.* To ensure that drivers under your control are, at all times, dressed in accordance with company guidelines.* To ensure that vehicles, drivers and trailers operating are operating in compliance with statutory obligations regarding Law and Health & Safety.* To ensure that GDL and customers' paperwork is completed accurately and in a timely manner.* To ensure that industrial relations are maintained and that local disputes are dealt with quickly and, where out of your control, ensure that your Senior Manager is aware of the situation.* Be responsible for the first level of disciplinary procedures to be taken against one of the staff under your supervision.* To ensure that customer hygiene requirements are followed and achieved.* To answer the telephone in a courteous manner, dealing quickly with questions that are raised either by the customer or Senior GDL Management.* Maintain good working relationships with, and between, drivers and customers (including farmers) to ensure that any problems arising are handled amicably and through correct channels.* Assist in the recruitment of drivers, ensuring that they are properly inducted and trained in operating procedures.*Essential Skills required:** Previous experience of working within the milk collection environment is desirable.* Leadership skills are essential as you will be managing a busy team.* Previous customer service experience essential, over the telephone and on email.* Attention to detail.* Ability to communicate at all levels.* Excellent organisational skills and prioritising workload.* Working to deadlines.* Able to work as part of a team and on own initiative.*Why Gregory Distribution?** *Salary for Milk Transport Supervisor is £30,000 to £35,000 per annum, depending on experience.** *Hours of work: 18:00hrs – 06:00hrs, based on 4on 4off rota. ** *Additional holiday purchasing scheme*** *Retail discounts with Hapi*** *Retail Trust Wellbeing Support*** *Opportunity to develop your career within an expanding business.** *Excellent holiday allowance and company benefits.** *Life assurance, pension and sickness scheme*** *Christmas Savings Club*** *Black Circle Tyre discount* ** *Leading industry qualifications*** *Mobile phone discounts*** *This vacancy is not entitled to the employee referral scheme. ** *Free Uniform.** *Strong culture of teamwork.**So if you have the drive to be the best and want to be a part of a flourishing and ambitious company, apply now for this vacancy.**Please submit your application as soon as possible; due to the high volumes of applications we receive, and we reserve the right to close any adverts before the closing date once we have received sufficient applications.**The Gregory Group require all applicants to be eligible to work in the UK with no restrictions, as we are unable to offer sponsorship/work visas.
