Transport Planning Supervisor

This role calls for a Transport Planning Supervisor to oversee and enhance the logistics planning processes in the transport and distribution sector in Birmingham. The successful candidate will work a day shift Monday-Friday and be tasked with improving efficiency, analysing data, project work, delivering cost savings and ensuring excellent customer service.

Description

The role of Transport Planning Supervisor will involve:

• Overseeing and managing the strategic planning process.
• Delivering cost savings and enhance operational efficiency.
• Ensuring exceptional customer service.
• Analysing and reporting data.
• Evaluating and improving existing planning strategies.
• Ensuring compliance with company policies and industry regulations.
• Creating and delivering detailed reports on logistics operations.
• Training and mentoring junior planning staff.

Profile

A successful Transport Planning Supervisor should have:

• A track record of successfully leading teams.
• Experience in logistics planning within the transport and distribution industry.
• Superb data analysis and reporting skills.
• Knowledge of logistics software and Excel
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• A background in Logistics Distribution and Supply Chain.

Preferred:

• Experience using Paragon and/or SAP.
