Transport Planner

Working with DHL, the world's leading logistics provider you will be working as part of a team that provides transport services worldwide. You will also be responsible for contacting customers and transport suppliers to ensure shipments are collected and delivered on time. This is a temp-to-perm opportunity via Rapier Employment working the AFTERNOON shift.Duties include:Coordinating transport solutions for clientsLoad schedule planningForecasting data to manage future transport solutionsEngaging with subcontractors and third party suppliersProviding accurate shipment informationManaging return loadsEscalation of issues to senior managementCreating tax and duty payment informationSpot pricing for ad-hoc shipmentsTRAINING PROVIDEDExperience/Skills Required:5 years check-able employment/education historyDBS check requiredExcellent communication skills (written and verbal)Computer literateTransport/Logistics experience is strongly preferred but will consider other candidates with an exceptional attitude.Planning and workload prioritizationBe a good team playerBe able to travel to and from the office in Hayes, Middlesex (UB3)Hours of hours:Afternoon shift hours will be between 13:00-21:30 (40 hrs payable) - you may be asked to cover other shifts occasionallySalary28,500pa (paid hourly via agency)Rapier Employment has been established in the UK for over 30 years, specialising in supplying temporary and permanent workers into the Commercial, Production and Logistics sector.As an equal opportunities employer, we pride ourselves on treating all employees fairly.
