For the successful Transport Planner our client is offering; £25,000 - £30,000 per annumMonday to Friday 07:00am - 3:00pmSaturday on a rota (1 in 3-4 weeks)Permanent roleThe opportunity for progressionThe Role of the Transport Planner:Assist planning of all vehicle repairs and servicing co-ordinating with suppliers while ensuring vehicle availability for operations.Perform daily and weekly audits on paperwork to ensure procedures are being adhered to and suggest changes if required.Assist in ensuring that any accidents are properly investigatedEnsure that digital and paper tachograph records are maintained and filed correctly, safeguarding driver's hours are within legal boundaries.Monitor that all driver licences are compliant in conjunction with “Driver Check” provider.Support the Routing management for route performance and mileage.Follow and implement current and new standards/procedures as set by the Company.Assist the Transport Manager with any disciplinary issues concerning staff, to perform investigations and disciplinaries when required.Deputise for the Routing/Head of Department when required.What our client is looking for in a Transport Planner:Must have HGV Licence and a Drivers CPCAbility to work in a very busy environment and to demonstrate initiative with a “level-headed” approach.Actively seeks new knowledge and skills. Supports the development of your team.Customer focused and solutions driven.Experience using systems and with good knowledge of Excel and Outlook.Outstanding communication skills and a confident manager of people.Alternative job titles: Transport Planner, Assistant Transport Manager , Transport Assistant, Transport Co-ordinator
