9am - 7pm Monday - Friday
1 in 5 Saturday cover - 7am - 12pm
My client is looking to recruit an experienced Transport Planner. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a successful, leading company, working in a busy and fast paced environment. Duties include:
Operating vehicles ensuring optimisation of revenue whilst taking into account customer requirements and legal restrictions on driver hours and other relevant legislation
Maintain TMS to ensure all details entered are accurate and completed in full
Maintain good working relationships with customers and keeping a consistent flow of communication
Accurate recording of delivery failures and rebooks, ensuring all appropriate additional revenues are captured and reported to relevant people
Production of accurate reports and KPI's
Following compliance processes relating to vehicle and trailer maintenance
Chasing and adjusting customer deliveries whenever necessary
Liaising with internal and external customers to plan their deliveries in accordance, whilst ensuring the vehicles are maximised
Driver briefs and debriefs
Proactively work to reduce late deliveries and missed time slots
Ability to work quickly and multitask is essential
Awareness of all transport regulations to adhere to Operational compliance levels with regards to driver tachograph and vehicle servicing requirements
Ensure agency drivers are fully inducted before engaging on to work
Providing support to colleagues and management where appropriate
Creation of management information and reports
To ensure that all assets are fully in service and MOT before being released for work
