Position: Transport Planner

Location: Southampton

Hours: Monday to Friday 09:00 - 18:00 (Some flexibility may be required)

Salary: �35,000 - �45,000

Our client is seeking an experienced Transport Planner to join their already strong and reputable team in Southampton

This is an exciting period of growth and the Transport Planner will need to be forward-thinking, enthusiastic and willing to share their ideas with the team.

Your key responsibilities and requirements as a Transport Planner:

• Routing and scheduling vehicles to optimise fleet utilisation
• Booking VBS slots
• Proven knowledge of geographical routes and driver regulations in the UK
• Dispatching and debriefing drivers
• Hands on coordination of emergency response and resolution of road incidents
• Liaising with customers and colleagues to ensure the operation runs smoothly and cost effectively
• Completing all administration tasks and dealing with infringements, so a good attention to detail is required to ensure the accuracy of information logged
• Maintaining company policies and procedures
• Vehicle inspection and maintenance planning
• Record keeping for licences, CPC's and training
