I am working with a National Consultancies Bristol office to help build their Transport Planning team. They are looking for a Transport Planner or Senior Transport Planner to join the team of 7 and deliver a range of development planning schemes.
Founded over 30 years ago, this Employee Owned Trust consultancy now has 8 offices across England and is involved in a variety of Planning and Civil Engineering services. In this role as a Transport Planner you will be expected to deliver Transport Assessments, Travel Plans, and some Junction Models to clients across the South West and beyond. Understanding not just what data you need to get across but why, and using the transport data to successfully deliver planning applications with the wider teams.
For you, this role as a Transport Planner can give you the experience of business development from the outset, this consultancy will give you the opportunity as a Transport Planner to work directly with the client and as your career progresses, this experience is invaluable when applying for Principal/Associate positions.
Transport Planner/Senior Transport Planner Essential Requirements

  • Delivery of Transport Assessments, Statements and Travel Plans
  • Delivery of feasibility studies
  • Delivery of transport scheme business cases
  • Development of traffic models and analysis
  • Analyse, write and present results and reports
  • Attend meetings with clients and other stakeholders
  • Work as part of a team to develop solutions
  • Support the Transport Planning Team by taking leadership and responsibility for the delivery of its tasks and projects.
  • Continue to develop your professional skills as you progress your career.

Transport Planner/Senior Transport Planner Required Qualifications & Experience

  • Degree or equivalent in Geography, Planning or related subject (Masters' Degree in Transport Planning desirable)
  • Working towards or chartered with a relevant professional body
  • Delivery focussed
  • Ability to work independently and in the team
  • Strong analytical and report writing skills
  • Enthusiasm to be part of growing the business
  • Travel Flexibility
  • Working in a multi-disciplinary consulting environment
