Join our client, a well-established family-run business, in a rare and exciting opportunity as an experienced Transport Planner. Lead their delivery and collection operations across the UK mainland and work with a diverse fleet of vehicles. Job Title: Transport Planner

Salary: Up to £30,000

Hours: Monday-Friday, 9am-5:30pm

Location: Near Ashford/Hythe, Kent. Your own transport is required due to the location of the business.

This is an office based role, due to the nature of the position and team work plus communication required across the business.

Working as part of a team of 4, your responsibilities as a Transport Planner will be to:

Manage deliveries and collections across the UK mainland. Typically up to (Apply online only) drops (representing (Apply online only) tonnes) per week
Plan a delivery fleet: 4 Arctics, 16 rigid HGVs, each with mounted fork truck, plus 3 delivery vans
Support the Transport Manager and team in the day to day running of the department, planning and arranging loads to customers, as well as collections
Complete transport administration tasks as required, for example, updating driver and vehicle information, invoicing, reviewing new orders and producing any internal reports
Ensuring that Company and Statutory Health and Safety, COSHH and Environmental requirements are metTo be successful in this role you'll need:

Previous experience in a varied Transport planning role
Excellent organisational skills and the ability to think on your feet to plan loads effectively and meet promised delivery dates. Clearing deliveries each week and ensuring loads are planned to meet commitments will be key performance indicators in this role.If you are a motivated and enthusiastic individual looking for a challenging yet rewarding role, our client's Transport Planner position is the perfect opportunity for you.
