Job Description As a Transport Paragon Planner you will report into the Transport Planning Manager and Head of Transport Planning & Logistics on a daily basis. You will be based at the Burton-on-Trent area of Derbyshire and have the following areas of responsibility. This role will primarily be responsible for planning, in a timely manner transport requirements on a day 1 / day 2 basis, so that the team meet the required plan, logistics service and cost performance targets.Management of the transport planning of 100+ HGV & LGV Vehicles - a mixture of HGV & LGV vehicles. Populate and maintain scheduling and booking and tracker systems.Using a mix of automated and manual tools undertake transport planning and daily execution / performance tracking of loads and vehicles. Share accurate information with own drivers and service providers to enable effective operations.Identify lane / loads requirements, risk and risk mitigations for own and third party providers.Work with internal stakeholders to utilise own fleet and third party to obtain the optimal cost The Successful Applicant The successful Transport Paragon Planner will be commutable to the Burton-on-Trent area of Derbyshire. and have the following background:Either a Transport Professional with transport planning experience.Ideally 2+ years transport experienceExperience in Paragon Planning Software would be advantageous.Experience in managing drivers & planning routes.Strong internal and external customer service skill.
