Transport / Operations Manager, Grain, Kent, Up to �50k p.a



Our client is on a mission to revolutionize the energy sector through sustainable, eco-friendly biofuel solutions. They are seeking a proactive Transport / Operations Manager to enhance their team with a strong background in process management and experience in the Transport or Construction Industry to transfer into the Biofuel industry.



The responsibilities of the Transport / Operations Manager are:




  • Manging plant on a daily basis

  • Oversee and streamline biofuel production operations to ensure efficiency.

  • Implement continuous process improvements to enhance production quality and reduce costs.

  • Maintain SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures) and ensure that production processes adhere to established quality standards.

  • Identify bottlenecks, suggest solutions, and drive the implementation of approved changes.

  • Manage and mentor the operations team to promote an environment of collaboration and continuous learning.

  • Provide guidance to cross-functional teams and act as a bridge between production and management.

  • Develop and implement operations strategies.

  • Track and monitor KPIs (Key Performance Indicators) to ensure effective execution of operational plans.

  • Ensure that the operations adhere to industry safety standards and all regulatory requirements.

  • Develop and maintain strategic relationships with suppliers and vendors.

  • Ensure timely procurement of materials, reducing lead times and managing inventory efficiently.

  • Develop, monitor, and manage the operations budget to ensure profitability.

  • Drive cost-saving initiatives without compromising on product quality.



The Skills and Qualifications required for the Transport / Operations Manager role are:




  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in an operations management role.

  • Proven experience in process management within the transport, plant or construction management industry.

  • Hands on plant experience

  • Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills.

  • Proficient in relevant software tools for process management and data analysis.
