An opportunity for a skilled Transport expert to run a key operation for a leading distributor.Our client is an established leader in the FMCG distribution sector.DescriptionAs the Transport Operations Manager you will be responsible for overseeing a large fleet and team of drivers, ensuring that all aspects of this busy distribution operation run effectively and efficiently.You will be the principle Operator License holder on site, taking responsibility for the overall performance of the department and the achievement of key performance indicators.As the budget owner for the function, you will be commercially aware, using both data and management information in order to meet and exceed performance expectations.Monitor and report on transport performance metrics.Ensure compliance with all transport legislation and regulations, ensuring the safety of your team.ProfileA successful Transport Operations Manager will live within a commuting distance of North London and be able to demonstrate the following experience:Proven experience in leading a fast paced and complex transport operation.Multi-temperature transport experience would be advantageous.Strong leadership and team management skills (100+ heads), with staff engagement at the core.Previous budgetary experience required.Customer focused in your approach.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Job OfferA competitive salary in the range of GBP65,000 - GBP70,000 per year.Additional benefits including a car allowance, private health insurance and pension scheme.25 days holiday, with the option to purchase more.A supportive company culture that values innovation and collaboration.We encourage all eligible candidates who are looking to advance their careers with a leading logistics organisation to apply.Create a job alert and receive personalised job recommendations straight to your inbox.
