Transport Manager required! My client is a leading independent port operator, serving the sea trade and international shipping routes. They are now looking for a transport manager to join their team, playing a crucial role in managing the fleet and overseeing the drivers.

Transport Manager - Job Responsibilities

Ensuring the fleet is well maintained and inspected on a daily basis.
Manage all day-to-day operations, ensuring smooth running.
Arranging routine maintenance and repairs.
Managing a team of transport planners, and drivers.
Monitor transport costs and KPIs to identify areas for improvement.
Ensure all deliveries are made on-time and efficiently.
Coordinate with suppliers, and internal teams to meet transportation needs.
Liaising with customers, dealing with any issues that may arise.
Ensure all compliance's regarding health and safety regulations are met. Transport Manager - Requirements

A proven background in road haulage or the port industry.
IT skills are required.
Team leadership skills - having the ability to manage and motivate a team.
Proven experience in a management role within the transport industry.
Strong customer service skills. Company Remuneration

Monday - Friday 8am - 5pm
Salary - £40,000 - £45,000 dependent on experience.
