Are you an ambitious and enthusiastic professional with a passion for excellence in transport and logistics? We have an exciting opportunity for a Transport Manager to lead and optimise the day-to-day logistics operations for our client, a fast growing temperature controlled distribution company in Bedfordshire.
About the Role:
As the Transport Manager, you will be at the heart of ensuring the smooth, compliant and cost-effective running of logistics operations across our client's facilities. Your role is pivotal in managing the logistics team, fleet and KPIs to drive efficiency and savings.
Key Responsibilities:
*Efficient Logistics Management: Oversee the daily logistics operations and fleet, ensuring compliance and cost-effectiveness.
*KPI Management: Report on and improve KPIs in collaboration with relevant stakeholders, focusing on metrics and overall efficiency.
*Team Development: Develop and implement continuous personal development plans for the logistics team, fostering growth and excellence.
*Financial Performance: Conduct comprehensive reviews and root cause analysis of financial performance, addressing any variances proactively.
*Resource Optimisation: Manage resource availability to ensure optimal fleet utilisation.
*Driver Performance: Implement and develop driver performance programs aimed at improving driving style and fuel efficiency.
*Leadership Engagement: Collaborate with senior leadership to ensure the success of the wider Group.
About You:
*Ambitious & Enthusiastic: You bring a high level of energy and a passion for excellence in logistics.
*Certified Professional: A Transport Manager's CPC (National or International) is a must.
*Regulation Expert: You have a comprehensive knowledge of EU Driver's Hours and Working Time Directive regulations.
*Proven Leader: You have a strong track record of leading and developing teams to achieve outstanding results.
