Monday to Friday 7:30-4:30 (hours may differ)
Salary: £37,500-£40,000 DOE
Location: St.ives, Cambridgeshire
We are looking for a skilled Transport Manager to oversee and manage all aspects of transportation operations for our client. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in logistics and transportation management, with a proven track record of effectively coordinating and optimizing transportation activities.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement transportation strategies to optimize efficiency and reduce costs.
Coordinate and oversee the scheduling, routing, and dispatching of vehicles and drivers.
Ensure compliance with all transportation regulations and safety standards.
Manage and maintain relationships with transportation vendors and service providers.
Monitor transportation performance metrics and implement improvements as needed.
Lead and motivate a team of drivers and transportation staff to achieve operational objectives.
Handle any transportation-related issues or emergencies that may arise.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field (preferred).
Proven experience in transportation management or a similar role.
Strong knowledge of transportation regulations and compliance requirements.
Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to effectively manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Proficiency in transportation management software and systems.
