Family run for 4 generations, they continuing to adapt and evolve to meet the needs of the ever changing consumer market.An exciting career opportunity for like minded individuals, they base a lot of their success on maintaining the family feel of the team and providing an enjoyable and satisfying workspace for their employees.Main ResponsibilitiesPlan, direct and coordinate the efficient running of the day-to-day distribution operationLead, manage and motivate the distribution team to ensure quality of service is maintainedManage department spend on fuel, maintenance, driver uniforms and capital itemsManage resources to ensure driver, vehicle and other equipment, such as crates and cages, availability to meet daily delivery requirements, while ensuring spare vehicles are available when neededRecruit replacement staff as and when requiredAssist with the planning for and roll out of RMA replacementEnsure legal compliance at all times, with regard to driver hours, vehicle checks and laden weights, taking remedial action as and when requiredBeing first point of contact for customer and delivery issues each morning, organising corrective action as requiredEnsure the good housekeeping of the fleet at all timesWork with management to develop scorecard and performance indicators for distribution departmentDevelop and maintain strong relationships with other members of management teamThe Ideal Person:2+ Years experience in a Transport Management rolePrevious experience in the Food Production/FMCG industryFull UK Drivers License For further information on this vacancy, or any other Built Environment job in Belfast or wider Northern Ireland, please apply via the link below or contact Joe Sowerby for a confidential discussion on
