Reporting directly to the Operations Director, you will play a pivotal role in driving a large-scale, complex programme focused on enhancing quality standards, productivity, and overall effectiveness. Join a great team at Aspire Defence Services…As the Transformation Manager, you will combine your strong programme leadership skills, strategic vision, and hands-on experience to spearhead the end-to-end programme strategy. Collaborating closely with various stakeholders, including senior leadership and cross-functional teams, you'll identify transformation opportunities, define project scopes, and establish clear objectives and success criteria. Your ability to engage and inspire people across different teams will be crucial in achieving our transformation goals.Key Responsibilities:Your responsibilities encompass working alongside the Operations Director to develop programme strategies and deliver projects. This includes ensuring the effective deployment of best practice tools and techniques and leading the planning, execution, and monitoring of strategic business transformation initiatives across operations. You'll lead by example, demonstrating strong project and change management skills to navigate complexities and deliver desired outcomes.Delivering strategic programmes of work to enhance organisational efficiency, effectiveness, and value optimisation is a core part of your role. You'll collaborate with key stakeholders to identify transformation opportunities, define project scope, and establish clear objectives and success criteria. Developing detailed project plans, timelines, and resource allocation strategies will be essential to ensure successful project delivery within scope, budget, and timeline constraints.Leading and mentoring project teams will also be a key aspect of your role, providing guidance and direction throughout all stages of the transformation lifecycle. You'll implement effective change management strategies to drive the adoption of new processes, systems, and ways of working, while also monitoring project progress, identifying risks and issues, and implementing corrective actions as necessary to ensure milestones are achieved.Establishing key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to measure the effectiveness and impact of transformation initiatives will be critical. You'll provide regular updates and reports to senior leadership and stakeholders, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation to drive organisational agility and responsiveness.Qualifications, Experience, and Skills:To excel in this role, you should have degree-level education and professional qualifications such as APM, Prince2, DSDM, MSP, or similar. A proven track record of successfully leading complex business transformation initiatives in large organisations is essential, along with strong project management skills, including experience leading cross-functional teams and managing budgets, timelines, and resources.Excellent communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder management skills are necessary, along with a solid understanding of change management principles and methodologies. An analytical mindset with the ability to analyse data and make data-driven decisions is crucial, as is demonstrated leadership capabilities and the ability to inspire and motivate teams.Excellent organisational and time management skills with the ability to prioritise tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously are required, along with the ability to identify and develop innovative solutions.
