THE ROLE
This is a critical role within the Carl Zeiss Vision UK finance team, which requires a driven, ambitious and enthusiastic accountant to deliver exceptional Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable and General Ledger accounting support.
The role is responsible for ensuring Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivables are proactively managed, ensuring accurate and complete accounting/data, and ensuring policies and procedures are correctly followed.
The role provides a great opportunity to help shape and contribute to the future of the finance transformation agenda within Carl Zeiss Vision UK and provides a great opportunity for someone passionate to make an impact in the company and the finance function.
Key Objectives:
Accurate and complete Accounts Payable accounting and reporting.
The correctness of outputs from the off-shore Shared Service Centre.
Accurate and complete invoice and cost-centre data maintained.
Accounts Receivables are accurate and proactively managed and reported, alongside the off-shore Shared Service Centre to ensure accurate AR.
Relevant reporting internally and to Group on overdue balances to support Customer-Care and Commercial teams.
Various accounting entries and journals along with supporting schedules.
Manage Companies Travel and Expense policies and processes through Concur.
Compliance with Company’s Travel and Expense Policy.
Support the wider finance team with ADHOC transactional accounting support and reporting.
Develop, refine and continuously improve financial information, reporting and planning.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE
Academics: Degree qualified or equivalent
Improvement mindset
Up-to-date knowledge and understanding of FRS101 and IFRS
Understanding of best-in-class financial control environment requirements
Knowledge of UK VAT rules and filing requirements
Stakeholder management and engagement skills
Communication and influencing skills
Verbal and written communication skills
Self-aware and open to change
Problem solving, planning and decision making
Knowledge of MS Office applications
Experience in using SAP with data visualisation tools (Tableau, PowerBI or equivalent)
