Tram Maintenance Team Leader
The Tram Maintenance Team Leader manages the activities of the maintenance operations by providing appropriate leadership, guidance, procedures, and tools to ensure the effective maintenance of tram assets and prioritising activities to ensure daily and weekly operational requirements are met.
Key accountabilities will include:
Provide leadership to the workforce to ensure the provision of correctly maintained and serviced trams, as per the approved maintenance regime.
Ensure that all maintenance activities are carried out to time, the right quality and In budget.
Assist the Tram Maintenance Manager with maintenance prioritisation, repairs and modification works on all tram assets, by the efficient utilization of manpower, plant and materials.
First line of contact for the Network Management Centre for the response or request of technical support, In the event of a tram failure or recovery.
Work collaboratively with teams to building an inclusive and supportive environment, in line with KAM's FREDIE (fairness, respect, equality, diversity, inclusion and engagement) culture.
What you'll bring:
Knowledge of maintenance in electrical/electronic, mechanical and hydraulic systems.
Extensive knowledge and experience in maintenance and support activities within a large multi-disciplined team.
Ability to fault-find, undertake diagnostic fault investigations and conduct root cause analysis.
Extensive understanding of safety and risks within a maintenance environment.
Experience In managing and motivating a team in a maintenance/support/project/production environment.
What you'll bring:
Professional knowledge and expertise in leading teams and delivering service level KPIs.
Preferable experience of best practices in prosecutions and appeal process.
Strong analytical acumen.
Experience of working in a unionised and highly regulated industry.
Relevant customer service background, preferable but not essential in transport operations.
Experience in resource planning allocation.
