Trainee Textile/Fabric Cutter

LFUK are currently looking for a Trainee Fabric/textile Cutter to join our clients team in the Kirkby area.

Hours of work Monday to Thursday 7.30am to 4pm (Half hour unpaid lunch break) Friday 7.00am to 1pm

This will be cutting long rolls of silicone/PVC.

This role is temporary but there may be an option for permanent after 12 weeks for the right person.

�11.44�per hour

The role will involve but is not limited to -

• Marking & Cutting various pattern shapes from rolls of textile (silicone backed glass fibre) using scissors or powered cutters


• Read and interoperate in house drawings/sketches Occasional requirement to work on site, fitting covers


• Maintain good house keeping


• Ability to work as a team Ability to work unsupervised


• Able to work in imperial measurements


• Good hand / eye co-ordination

Skilled required

• Good Mathematical skills


• Keen to learn new skills


• Versatile approach to undertake other tasks within the company


• Good Communication skills


• Ability to work from sketches in imperial measurement


• Good level of fitness


• Use of powered portable hand cutting tools


• Experience is a similar background is advantageous but not essential
