trainee technician

CareerMakers Recruitment is currently looking for Trainee technician on behalf of our client based in, Newton Abbott, TQ12 AREA.

The position is for an electrical test engineer and requires a team player who is prepared to be flexible and work within a small company environment. Role could also include some mechanical inspection so some experience in this area would be an advantage.

Typical work activities:

• Testing, tuning, and measuring of passive waveguide parts and components using microwave vector analysers.


• Assembly of small components and adjustments with screws or dent tuning of waveguide to achieve the specification required.


• Recording of test results /data and filling out data sheets


• Fault finding to establish problem area if parts fail.


• Ensuring proper test procedures are followed and equipment is calibrated.


• Recording issues by creating NCR’s and turnback's or both as required


• Scanning and recording manufacturing control cards


• Raising change requests to correct errors encountered on drawings or paperwork.


• Maintaining a good working environment

Working hours: 07:00am-16:00PM Monday to Friday.

Payrate: £11.44 per hour with an uplift in pay too £13 once fully trained.
