Position: Trainee Sales Executive



Location: Radstock



Package: £24k-£26k + Bonus

You have the opportunity to join a well established metal stockholder in Radstock. This long standing business is part of a national group with global owners and maintains a family feel, but with the financial backing of a global, multi £billion enterprise.



After the successful hiring of a trainee sales person last year, this company is now looking to expand further and is looking to develop a new member of the sales team.



You will be exposed to all areas of the business to give you an in depth understanding of how all departments are run. You will receive product training and sales training and will be given time to develop. This is not a high pressure sales role, but a company looking to invest in an individual on a long term basis.

Our sales departments represent the public face of our business, providing first contact with customers & prospective customers alike. Providing industry leading customer service and having a strong sales ethic are the keys to success in a vital commercial function within the company.



The Role of Trainee Sales Executive provides a broad exposure to our business, starting at the ground floor in an industry which is rapidly developing to cover many market sectors. You will begin by gaining an understanding of the many products & services which we offer, gaining experience and knowledge to enable you to promote and sell to prospective customers. An outgoing, people person, you will relish forging new relationships and have a passion to succeed.



Roles & Responsibilities



• Accept incoming telephone/email enquiries & orders from customers & prospects.



• Produce detailed & accurate quotations and issue to customers in a timely manner.



• Make pro-active outbound telephone calls, promoting the company, its products, services and following up on any previous quotations or enquiries.



• General Administration tasks such as filing, booking in of stock, invoicing of delivered orders.



• Obtaining quotations and raising Purchase Orders for the Sales Team.



• Undertake specific product & process training to enhance your knowledge.



• Other ad-hoc office based duties as/when required Whilst this is not an exhaustive list, it provides guidance of the key responsibilities of a Trainee Sales Executive. Expectations



• Excellent Communication Skills, with the ability to interact with people from different backgrounds and roles, via telephone and face to face.



• Self-motivated, proactive with a positive attitude and a desire to succeed.



• Team player who can work individually but also contribute in a busy team environment • Good IT skills, with particular familiarity with Microsoft Works, Excel, Outlook etc. desirable.
