Trainee Quantity Surveyor

Russell Taylor Group are currently recruiting on behalf of our client, for a Trainee Quantity Surveyor to join their company on a full-time, permanent basis in East Sussex
Our client, who have been in business for over 40 years, offering Plastering, Partitioning, Dry-lining and Suspended Ceilings services, are extremely diverse in terms of the packages that they are able to undertake with projects ranging from £1,000 to £1m. They cover most sectors including: Residential Housing and Apartments, Retirement Accommodation, Healthcare, Commercial, Education and Industrial warehouses.
Responsibilities include:

Working alongside, assisting & learning from our two Quantity Surveyors, undertaking:

• Generating Applications for Payment (Valuations).

• Pricing Variations & additional work.

• Checking fortnightly Sub-Contractor labour invoices.

• Checking Sub-Contracts.

• Quantifying work using our onscreen measuring software.

• Liaising with our Project Managers & visiting our live projects.

• Updating Budgets, providing our Board with real time project financial reports.
Contract information:

• Monday - Friday, 8:00AM - 17:00PM

• Works based out of offices in East Sussex

• Salary: £20k - £35k (D.O.E)

• Statutory holiday and bank holidays entitlement.

• Company vehicle - subject to negotiation of overall package.

• Private healthcare - subject to negotiation of overall package.
Experience in the Dry Lining Industry is preferential but not essential.
