Trainee Mortgage Administrator

Once a mortgage case has offered, the case is transferred to our post offer administrator to see the case through to completion.  This role requires regular calls and emails to the conveyancers or solicitors dealing with our client’s case, to obtain progress updates and report these to the client. The role is to facilitate completion in a timely manner and help overcome any obstacles.  There’s a lot of time spent on the telephone, and on hold! If necessary, the administrator may have to call lenders, if for example the solicitor hasn’t received their copy of their client’s mortgage offer, or if the offer requires a correction, then the administrator would liaise with the mortgage adviser/lender.  
 
Experience required:
 
The candidate should be familiar with MS Word, Excel and email, and possess a confident telephone manner. The key element to this role is the energy to look for solutions and gain knowledge. There is huge potential for growth within the business for the right candidate. It’s preferable (but not essential) that the candidate has worked in the mortgage industry and is familiar with a mortgage offer document. Some knowledge of the conveyancing process/terms would be an advantage but again, not essential. We will of course provide training to use our CRM system.
