Key Responsibilities Carry out visual structural investigations and inspection works on a variety of structures (concrete/steel/brick), including bridges, gantries, culverts and trackside buildings.Perform risk assessments and writeups.Maintain a high level of health and safety awareness.The successful candidate must be able to work independently without supervision/Write reports using several methods, including handwritten reports, and a tablet-based asset management system. Skills, experience, and qualifications Essential: BSc Civil Engineering degree / Vocational Equivalent OR previous construction/structural examination experience.Essential: Good verbal and written communication skills, and a background that demonstrates the capacity to learn in a classroom environment.Essential: Must be willing to work occasional nights/weekendsEssential: Full, clean UK driving licenceDesirable: Hold a valid PTS/Sentinel Card Ford & Stanley Ltd is committed to a policy of equal opportunities for all opportunity seekers.
