Trainee Sales Estimator

Doncaster DN5, £23k - £25k DOE

Suited to people with capabilities on social media and those keen to develop a sales career within engineering, the Trainee Sales Estimator is required to strengthen the technical department.

All training for the Sales Estimator will be provided for the right person, duties include:

Complete sales quotations for new and existing clients received by email and phone.

Receive and interpret customers' requirements from CAD drawings and sketches.

Create accurate quotations based on raw material build up and calculations

Communicate with customers providing customer service on delivery dates and relevant shipping information.

Researching, sourcing, negotiating, and obtaining quotes from suppliers.

Assist in the processing of sales/works orders into Production.

Some marketing and sales duties mostly via social media including LinkedIn, Instagram, Twitter and Facebook as well by email, occasionally by phone.

Actively seeking out new sales opportunities whilst also working to improve conversion rates on enquiries to orders.

To be considered for the Trainee Sales Estimator you must have:

Strong attention to detail and excellent numeracy skills.

Excellent telephone manner and be able to build relationships with B2B clients

Intermediate IT knowledge of Word and Excel.

Due to a high number of applications, CVs highlighting previous experience of reading CAD drawings or exposure to engineering industries will be prioritised. 

CVs highlighting experience or training on social media marketing such as Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn etc will also be prioritised.

39 hour working week – Mon-Thurs 8am-5pm and Fri – 8am-1pm
