TRAINEE CHARTERED ACCOUNTANT / PLYMOUTH - HYBRID WORKING OPTIONS

Location: Plymouth, PL6 / Hybrid

Job type: Permanent

Hours: Monday to Friday 36.25 hours

Salary: Starting salary £21,500 per annum

Hawk 3 Talent Solutions, operating as an employment agency, are currently recruiting for a Trainee Chartered Accountant to join our clients accountancy practice in Plymouth.

The successful candidate will undertake both practical and theoretical training whilst studying for their AAT qualification under an apprenticeship agreement.

Studying for Level 3 and Level 4 AAT apprenticeship qualifications include learning the fundamentals of bookkeeping and accounting standards, as well as personal and business tax.

Our client will not only offer you support and mentoring throughout your training but will also fund the training and pay you your normal salary on the days you attend classes or time in the office to study as well as still receiving regular pay reviews.

Duties & responsibilities:


      Supporting the team in providing a range of accounting and taxation services to clients


Prepare financial information, reports and returns for a wide range of clients, both business and individuals

Using computer software to record financial transactions

Prepare and provide personal and company tax computations, regular VAT returns and bookkeeping services

Help information gather to analyse and report information about income and expenditure to support decision making, planning and control

About you:


      Analytical, methodical and numerical


Positive attitude

Able to multi-task and work independently

Able to meet deadlines and prioritise

Team orientated in approach

Good working knowledge of Word and Excel

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Eye for detail

Strong track record in obtaining qualifications and strong results in GCSE's / A Levels
