Traffic Safety Officer (TSO/TSCO)

Location: South East London

Duration: 6-9 Months

My client is looking for a Traffic Support Officer (TSO) to join their team in South East London working on a major infrastructure project.

TSO's RESPONSIBILITIES:   

• Making important decisions on how best to design the layout and management of traffic systems
• Predicting traffic flow and potential issues on planned routes
• Handling incidents, such as road traffic collisions and arranging the swift removal of debris and other risks
• Providing a highly visible presence at road traffic incidents
• Keeping the traffic flow as smooth as possible without compromising public safety
• Compiling accurate reports
• Undertaking continuous improvement by monitoring user experiences and making changes accordingly
• Planning the safest, quickest and most efficient routes

TSO's REQUIREMENTS:

• Hold the Lantra TSCO ticket
• Hold relevant Lantra tickets i.e Highways Sector Scheme 12 A/B ticket or 12D qualification
• Experience on a major project in a similar role
• Can be with or without a Chapter 8 Vehicle
• Extensive experience of undertaking traffic management across a variety of works
