Trades Supervisor (Plumbing)Salary: £39,951 - £42,840 (inclusive of London Weighting) + the post is entitled to a 7.5% shift allowance.We are looking for an experienced Trades professional to work within our Repairs Services. You will be joining a dedicated, established team primarily in the plumbing services. You will be self-motivated with the ability to confidently lead and supervise a team of trades professionals.Duties will include :Directly manage a team of plumbing trade staff (or other trades dependent on operational requirements) and be responsible for managing supply chain, sub-contractors and other partners when required.Establishing high standards of work, safety and best practice in all areas.Ensure the team has a customer orientated approach, and that best value for money is achieved in the delivery of the works.Delivering all works within agreed budgets and timescales.Ensure the delivery of the Repairs Service is smooth and efficient, and action remedial /follow on works on a daily basis.As a Supervisor you will need -Full manual UK Driving License Extensive experience in the plumbing industry and be able to understand and implement risk assessments and method statementsA sound knowledge of the reactive repairs industry, diagnostics and materials used in the plumbing trade and general building methods and legal requirementsBe able to raise orders and review follow on works via various computer softwareExcellent organisational, communication and negotiating skills and ability to establish and maintain good working relationships with staff at all levels.Good written communication, report writing and computer skills.Good observational skills with knowledge of health and safety requirements.Recognised qualification (City and Guilds) or extensive experience in plumbing.Confident in delivering training/ tool box talks and support fellow supervisors.You will have the skills and abilities required to deal with the challenging demands and timescales, whilst maintaining good relationships with team members.
