About youYou are an experienced, personable, outgoing vehicle consignor with a passion for classic cars and a proven track record in an automotive sales environment. You thrive when picking up the phone to call potential clients, asking people to part with their vehicles at auction, or simply gathering feedback on our services.You specialise in dealing with customers in the Trade and are motivated to maintain great relationships in a B2B sales environment. You are detail-oriented in your work and able to follow a process and record interactions within a CRM. If you have direct experience with auction sales and a book of contacts then we’d love to speak to you.About the roleYou will start by reaching out to your existing trade contacts and prospecting new leads from trade customers who have classified ads on our site and trying to get them to list their vehicle on our auction platform.You will manage your vehicles through all stages of the pipeline and ensure customers receive the best possible service. Previous classic car auction experience is highly important and full training will be given to candidates on all the systems.About us www.carandclassic.comCar & Classic is one of the largest automotive marketplaces in the world. We’re looking for a Trade Sales Negotiatorwho has good, relevant experience and wants to make their mark in a rapid-growth business where they can make a real difference, whilst enjoying the environment and culture.Role and responsibilities
Consign Vehicles: Ensure the right pricing to move 40 vehicles per month effectively.
Manage Client Portfolio: Provide support and guidance to a portfolio of at least 10 active sellers each month.
Generate New Trade Customers: Use your contacts and prospecting skills to bring new trade customers onto our platform.
Build and Maintain Relationships: Cultivate strong relationships with trade sellers and clients, focusing on trust and reliability.
Encourage Repeat Business: Provide excellent service to encourage repeat business and loyalty from trade sellers.
Lead Online Auction Sales: Guide sellers through the online auction process, maximizing their selling potential.
Attend Networking Events: Represent our brand at networking events to increase awareness and build connections.
Visit Dealers: Visit dealers in person to strengthen relationships and explore new opportunities. The skills, attributes and experience you must have:
Classic Car Auction Sales Experience: Proven track record in the classic car auction scene, demonstrating successful sales outcomes.
Experience in Making Outbound Calls: Proficiency in conducting outbound calls, from cold outreach to warm lead follow-ups, with a focus on relationship building and sales conversion.
B2B Sales Environment Experience: Previous experience in a business-to-business sales environment, showcasing the ability to navigate corporate landscapes and secure partnerships.
Target-Driven Mindset: Thrives in a target-driven environment, consistently meeting or exceeding sales goals and performance metrics.
Passion for Classic Cars: Genuine interest in classic cars, with a network of contacts within the classic car community and a deep understanding of the market.
Ability to Generate Contacts: Skilled in generating contacts from scratch, whether through networking, prospecting, or other means, to expand the client base and drive sales opportunities.
Strong Customer Service Skills: Exceptional ability to build rapport and provide top-notch service to clients, ensuring satisfaction and repeat business.
Excellent Communication Skills: Outstanding verbal and written communication skills in English, with the ability to articulate ideas clearly and persuasively to both clients and colleagues.
Action-Oriented Approach: Hands-on, proactive attitude with a focus on getting things done efficiently and effectively, even in the face of challenges or obstacles.
