We're looking for an experienced Trade Marketing Manager to join the Team at Skin + Me. This is a hybrid working role with three days a week in our Paddington HQ (Mon, Tue, Fri) and two days remote. You will also get to make ad hoc site visits to our retailer partners.
As the Trade Marketing Manager at Skin + Me you will lead the strategic and operational development of trade marketing initiatives that support our brands' purpose by building awareness, loyalty and sustainable sales growth within our trading retail accounts.
What you'll do:
Develop and execute an annual trade marketing plan in line with the Skin + Me retail strategy, brand values and develop new approaches for all retail channels to drive sell in and sell out initiatives
Strategic development of a joint business plan in collaboration with the wider commercial team
Build our promotional plan and associated presentation tools for brand/product launches, brand penetration, sales growth, customer acquisition and retention programs
Take accountability for the 'UK Retail trade calendar' and implement all relevant updates for our retailing partners
Manage and maintain trade marketing budgets
Establish KPIs, analyse results and develop strategies to maximise ROI
Provide accurate forecasting for trade marketing activities with projections for specific tactics
Ensure the planning and perfect execution of retail VM updates, trade activations and experientials, in line with brand guidelines and positioning
Learn and define the best local promotion strategies in order to bring a concrete commercial and economic evaluation and implementation of trading plans
Develop trading event strategy for the UK both B2B & B2C to drive brand awareness and achieve commercial KPIs, and implement all associated activities and initiatives
Analysis of sales and marketing data and trends in order to define strategic initiative programs for the sales team in stores
Support the Field Sales + Education team with trading plans
Regular site visits with the team to build relationships, understand the result of the trade activities and for market research
Monitor competitor activity on the market, through strong stakeholder relationships with our wider brand, growth and creative teams
Who you are:
Around 5 years of experience in a similar role
Strong experience working with major UK beauty retailers
A passion for skincare and beauty with a deep understanding of the UK beauty market and trade marketing tactics
Commercially-minded and driven by hitting targets
Highly organised and able to effortlessly manage multiple work streams at the same time
Confident communicator with strong negotiation and relationship management skills
A strong analytical understanding of how to apply data to measure success
You have an entrepreneurial mindset and you're a self-starter who thrives in an environment that values bias-for-action and execution
