Trade Counter Sales - Builders Merchants

Interaction Recruitment are recruiting for an experienced Internal Sales / Trade Counter candidate from a builders merchant background on behalf of their well established client in Reading. This is a great opportunity to join a busy depot that is rapidly growing,

Working hours: Monday to Friday 7:00am to 5:00pm

Salary: £26k to £30k per annum

This role involves:

• 
  

  processing orders

• 
  

  serving customers face to face over the trade counter

• 
  

  building rapport with customers

• 
  

  keeping store stocked and presentable

• 
  

  answering inbound calls from customers and suppliers

• 
  

  supporting the yard operatives as and when needed

• 
  

  providing product information

• 
  

  bringing on new business and lapsed business

• 
  

  helping customers with product and quantity amounts required for their specific jobs when needed

The successful candidate will have/be:

• 
  

  previously worked within a trade counter position within a builder’s merchant environment

• 
  

  excellent customer service (over the phone, email and face to face)

• 
  

  comfortable building rapport with customers face to face and over the phone

• 
  

  reliable and trustworthy

• 
  

  looking to progress grow within the company

• 
  

  fluent English speaking, reading and writing

• 
  

  computer literate

• 
  

  a team player and will have the ability to work on own initiative
