Trade and Retail Marketing Manager

Purpose of role
Leading the execution of 360 Trade and Retail marketing and communications strategy across all product categories.
Key responsibilities
Responsible for managing all Trade & Retail Marketing in the UK market and delivering an annual marketing plan across all channels for each category.
Assess trading performance to recommend supporting marketing initiatives.
Collaborate with Social Media and Digital Marketing Executive to create and support the retail and wholesale network with assets and campaign support.
Responsible for the production of Retail and Wholesale marketing and promotional materials i.e. POS, VM, store displays, online banners, advertisements.
Liaise with Akademie and Head of Retail for launch sales training.
Liaise with Leica executives, press agencies and ambassadors as required for events.
Update all budget trackers liaising with the Head of Marketing.
Execute the Sport Optics PR and Marketing strategy.
Manage marketing initiatives across Retail; partner with Head of Retail and Store Managers to devise and execute on-brand activities that drive sell-through and ensure brand and product campaigns achieve maximum exposure within Leica retail stores.
Working closely with the CRM Manager and Head of Retail create and execute Clientelling strategy that delivers expected KPIs and drives sell-through targets.
Support in the planning and execution of retail events (eg. VIP activities, retailtainment, launch events, Harrods Gallery)
Work closely with the Head of Commercial and wholesale team to create and manage marketing activities that drive brand and business objectives.
Develop and manage relationships with key Wholesale partners and communicate brand and product campaigns to achieve maximum exposure.
Lead the Dealer Engagement programme.
Monitor Wholesale partners marketing activities to ensure they are achieving their quarterly dealer marketing rebates and ensure the brand is represented correctly (according to Leica guidelines) at all times with all distributors. Produce monthly reports.
Support in the planning and during wholesale events (eg. demo days, Trade Shows) and the onboarding plan for new retailers.
Liaison with Leica HQ; adapting wholesale/retail communications to local market.
Assist with brand events and product launches when required.
Support Head of Marketing with ad-hoc duties as needed including with reports and presentations.
Assist with daily admin, process invoices and expenses.
Key skills
Premium brand and e-commerce experience is essential
Proven marketing background, including digital and social
Proficient in Google Analytics - Ads and Facebook Business manager
Excellent attention to detail
Copywriting skills would be advantageous
IT literate
Ability to work under pressure
Excellent organisational skills
Hands on, can do attitude
