Toolroom Team Leader - Bradford�



Perm role



�32,500 pa



2 shifts 0600aam to 1400pm and 1400pm to 2200pm rotating weekly



PRINCIPAL JOB OBJECTIVES



To ensure that all tools are maintained and improved where required.� To support production to ensure that products are manufactured in an efficient way and in line with all appropriate quality and safety standards. �To take part in improvement activities to support the business in being more successful.�



KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES




  • To maintain tools and production equipment�

  • To correctly identify tooling issues and to work with other team members to resolve these when it looks as though a more serious problem might be developing�

  • To take part in improvement activities�

  • To behave in a manner that is safe and that promotes good manufacturing practice�

  • To work with team members to improve the effectiveness of the change-over processes



ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS




  • To understand all safety rules�

  • To understand all quality rules�

  • To be able to maintain tooling and production equipment�

  • Carry out servicing on current tooling and production equipment�

  • Experienced in setting and operating lathes, milling machines, surface grinders and other workshop equipment�

  • To implement and understand TPM and improvement processes�

  • To liaise with visitors as necessary�

  • Ability to work under own initiative as well as part of a team�

  • Experience in tool manufacturing�

  • Experience gained within a similar working environment�

  • Experience with CNC milling and turning using XYZ machines�

  • Power press and metal forming equipment



DESIRABLE REQUIREMENTS




  • Experience in maintaining press tools, rolling and forming tools�

  • To take part in the Health and Safety Committee or other representation roles as and when required�



QUALIFICATIONS




  • NVQ Level 3 Mechanical Engineering�

  • Abrasive wheel training
