Responsibilities and duties
Reporting to the Design Engineer, will be responsible for:
  • Create and manage design programmes in line with client agreements
  • Keeping in line with project budgets, prepare technical and construction drawings.
  • Generate detailed manufacturing information to facilitate factory operations.
  • Produce detailed construction information suitable for site teams to deliver built product without compromise to programme, quality, health & safety and cost.
  • Build and maintain customer relationships.
  • Liaise with site teams in relation to site queries.
  • Provide support to site teams to ensure compliance with statutory requirements, i.e. planning and building to identify improvements.
Professional qualifications
We are looking for someone with the following:
  • 2 years post qualification experience preferably from a timber design background.
  • Knowledge of current Scottish Planning & Building Standards Regulations.
  • Ability to read and understand architectural/engineering drawings.
Personal skills
The Timber Frame Technician role would suit someone who is:
