Job Title: Thought Machine Technical ArchitectJob Type: PermanentJob Location: Edinburgh (Preferred)/London, UK (Onsite/Hybrid)Job DescriptionThought Machine Technical ArchitectResponsibilitiesArchitect and design core insurance solutions based on Thought Machine VaultLead the implementation, working closely with engineering teams to translate architectural designs into actionable development plansCollaborate with product managers to understand business requirements and translate them into technical specifications and architectural designsProvide technical leadership and guidance to development teams, ensuring adherence to architectural principles, best practices, and coding standardsConduct architectural reviews, identify potential risks and propose mitigation strategies to ensure the success of Thought Machine Vault implementationStay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in core banking systems and software architectureDrive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance Thought Machine Vault implementationsWork closely with stakeholders to gather feedback, prioritize features, and drive the roadmap for ThoughtMachine Vault implementationsCollaborate with QA and DevOps teams to ensure seamless integration, deployment, and testing of ThoughtMachine Vault based solutions.RequirementsBachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related fieldProven experience (3+ years) as a software architect or technical lead, preferably in the fintech or banking industryDeep understanding of core Annuity platform and eventsProficiency in designing and architecting scalable, distributed systems using modern technologies and architectural patternsStrong programming skills in languages such as Java, Kotlin, or ScalaExperience with cloud-native technologies, preferably AWS or Google Cloud PlatformExcellent problem-solving and analytical skills with a strong attention to detailEffective communication skills with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholdersExperience working in Agile development environments and familiarity with DevOps practicesA collaborative mindset with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.Preferred QualificationsExperience with event sourcing, CQRS (Command Query Responsibility Segregation), and microservices architectureFamiliarity with containerization technologies such as Docker and KubernetesExperience with automated testing frameworks and CI/CD pipelinesContributions to open-source projects or active participation in technical communities.Regards,#####
